Extreme Energy are delighted to introduce the “Pilgrim Challenge” a multistage race along the North Downs track way, the oldest trade route in England and route used by Pilgrims for Winchester, Canterbury, Dover & the Continent. The route follows the North Downs Way from Farnham in Surrey through to Merstham in Surrey.
The event will suit those who want a new challenge, people looking for an alternative to running marathons, those training for event Marathon Des Sables or anyone who loves seeing the beautiful English countryside.

Date: 06-02-10 and 07-02-10
Format:
2 Days event covering 33 miles each day
Cost:
£80 for both days (inclusive of accommodation & food) or £30 for individual days.
Start:
1. Day 1- Farnham ( Sandy Farm Business Centre)
2. Day 2 – Merstham (St Nicholas School)
Finish:
Farnham (Sandy Farm Business Centre)
Accommodation:
St Nicholas School, Merstham, Redhill, Surrey, RH13 PU
Sleeping will be in a Large Hall & Gym Are

Food:
All food will be provided for Saturday evening and Sunday morning. There will also be energy bars etc available at each checkpoint (if you use specific fuelling while running we suggest you bring it yourself and carry it)
Kit:
We will transport all non running kit each day. 1 bag per competitor. For those training for the Marathon Des Sables or similar you may want to carry all your kit which is fine by us.
You will need to bring running gear for the 2 days, minimum compulsory list is below
You will also need to bring overnight gear for the night including sleeping bag, sleeping mat, wash gear, cloths for the evenings and anything else to make you comfortable.

Route / Navigation:
The route follows part of the North Downs way. It is marked the whole way by signs with either a white acorn or yellow arrow marked North Downs way. So as long as you follow the signs the navigation is open and straightforward. However you may want to bring a map with you.
Supporters / Volunteers:
If there are any supporters of competitors that want to support throughout the event then we would love to have you along.
If you are able to help man checkpoints / water stations etc then we would be prepared to provide you with food & accommodation for the Saturday evening / Sunday morning.
Start / Finish Transportation:
There will be numerous options for transportation to and from the start.
The ideal option is that you manage your own transportation via public transport or car.
There is ample car parking at the start and at the halfway stage, please note whilst cars can be left in a private business park or school they are left at the owners risk.
