Trails van 54 en 33 km in het Deense merengebied in midden Jutland. Een voor het traillopen goed geschikt gebied. De 54 km trail kent ca. 1200 hoogtemeters+.
The largest concentration of "peaks", large contiguous forest areas and beautiful lakes characterize the Central Jutland Lake District. A great area to run in, if you appreciate natural beauty, and there are indeed more traditional race, which benefits from the surroundings.
The new nature trail between Ry and Laven now opens up more possibilities and it is therefore possible to run all the way around the Julsø without too much asphalt kilometers. The path has been a kickstart for the project Montane Lakeland Denmark 50 because it binds several natural areas together.
The idea behind the Montane Lakeland DK 50 is to create an attractive, but not extreme challenge that appeals to experienced runners. It can be marathon runner who is ready to try an ultramarathon. Perhaps it is the runner that goes with thoughts about trying one of the great European mountain running. So could over 1,000 vertical meters and more than 50 km of a running backpack be the first step on the road.
The objective is not necessarily to be first across the finish line, but equally to the challenge with himself while getting a great nature experience.
Focus has also been creating a varied route with an emphasis on the experience of nature and cool tracks. By running around the Julsø, the only route that case be a few hundred meters at the start / finish. Consideration of landowners and practical logistics have achieved some consideration and a little asphalt along the way, but where it has been possible, the race carried on single tracks, forest roads and trails.
The route to the Montane Lakeland 50 Denmark follows both marked and unmarked trails in the mid-Jutland.
We have tried to create a route that primarily of small paths and gravel roads, but at the same time is no more whimsical than that which flows constantly feel that you come forward.
We would like to show some of the area's magnificent natural beauty for you, and it is therefore important that the follow the route that we put the right one for you. There will be a shorter and quicker way around Julsø, than we find, but it will bypass the greatest experiences, follow the route.
Moreover, we passed a large number of private plots where the owners have given us permission to run , provided we stick to the agreed path.
The distribution of the base of the route is approximately:
34 km small trails
15 km gravel / sand road
5 km asphalt / paving stones
Participants of 50 km in 2013 spent about. 1.6 to 2 times their marathontid a Danish asphalt marathon, despite the fact that the route was "only" 12 km long.
There will be two major depots along the route. Kvickly in RY is the custodian sponsor, so stores will contain various goodies from Kvickly, including fruit, granola bars, energy drinks, etc.. There will also be an opportunity to tanks of water 3-4 places further along the route.
Do you need energy more often, you may bring your own backpack / hydration belt for energy and / or beverage.
The route will not be marked. So you can NOT run solely by the signs. It is the rider's own responsibility to follow the route organizers specify.
On special critical points will be supplemented by Directory arrows.
