Een trail van 38 mijl/61 km met ca. 1100 hm+ in het zuiden van Schotland. Een niet al te lastig parcours, dat op sommige delen wel erg modderig kan zijn.

Jedburgh Three Peaks ultramarathon
A big welcome to the sixth running of the Jedburgh Three Peaks ultramarathon
Distance: 38 miles
Race date and time: Saturday 28th October 2017, 8:00am
Location: Jedburgh, TD8 6JQ
Entry fee: £35 (£33 for members of Scottish Athletics)
Entry limit: 300 (no waiting list)
The race starts and finishes in Jedburgh. Event car parking is in the Lothian Car Park (TD8 6JQ) just off the A68 main road through the town. Race registration is in the Jed Thistle Rugby Club (TD8 6JH), from 6:45am-7:45am. Changing/showering facilities are available in the rugby club, and there is a secure area for runners to leave their kitbags.
The race will be route marked. Click here for a route map. We recommend trail shoes as over 30 miles of the course is off-road and several sections are usually very muddy.
All runners must carry an emergency foil blanket, a mobile phone and a waterproof top.
A drop bag system will be in operation. Checkpoints and cut-offs are as follows:
CP1: Maxton - 10 miles - 2hrs 30mins (10:30am)
CP2: Rhymer's Stone - 17 miles - 4hrs 30mins (12:30pm)
CP3: Bowden - 22 miles - no cut off - no drop bags
CP4: Maxton - 28 miles - 7hrs 30mins (3:30pm)
Finish: Jedburgh - 38 miles
All runners will receive a tech t-shirt. All finishers will receive a commemorative medal, goody bag and a beer. Spot prizes will be randomly distributed at the finish line to runners who catch our eye, for whatever reason.
Showering/changing facilities are available for all runners in the rugby club - please bring your own towel. Once again we will be providing FREE tea/coffee and FREE hot soup with a roll for all runners.
Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers, and also to the first male and female finishers in the Vet50, Vet60 and Vet70 age categories. (We haven't actually ever had a female Vet70 runner enter our race yet, so if you're the first one, we promise to make a proper fuss of you!)
The event is open to all runners aged 20+ on race day. There are no specific entry requirements and newbies to ultra distance are welcome. If you think you're capable of completing the race, come along and have a go at it!
The local pub we're having the post-race party in will be confirmed nearer the time. The party starts just whenever the first runners decide to turn up. It's always an informal gathering so don't worry about arriving too early or late. All runners, friends, weans, dugs etc are welcome to attend so please come along and join in the fun.
